GOLD COAST SEAWAY
GALLERIES
Although this is not part of the Tweed-Byron coast, when factors such as big seas or
flooding in the river rule out diving in my area, the south wall of the Gold Coast Seaway
offers some very interesting snorkelling with many species that are not often seen on the
Tweed Coast, just a few kilometres to the south.

Unfortunately this area is sometimes plundered by collectors who take all the shrimps,
anemones, fish and whatever else they can catch, either for their own aquariums or
for the trade. This practice will result in this area being totally degraded
